The journey began with us producing Choccy Nut Pots in our very own kitchen, trialling different ingredients and refining our process, making sure that our product remained healthy and full of natural ingredients. It’s important to us that our product minimises impact on the environment. The chocolate used in our pots is fair-trade and we are currently working with our suppliers to ensure that all our ingredients are responsibly sourced.
Our process
We know that to take full control of our impact, we need to understand and continue to build positive relationships with our supply chain. We are committed to continually assessing the Life Cycle Assessment of our Choccy Nut Pots to see where improvements can be made. We wanted to keep it simple and for this reason, we have established a minimal 4 step production process, that limits heavy processing.

Our pots are made with 100% recycled paper. Our Pots are lined with a polyethylene plastic-based coating, which until we find a suitable alternative, helps keep our Choccy Nut Pots safe and fresh as a chilled product.
All our pots are delivered and shipped in a fully recyclable cardboard boxes and wrapped using reusable thermal packaging.

This helps maintain the right temperature in transit for our pots, ready to be stacked up in your fridge. These thermal bags are perfect for storing your packed lunches and gym snacks.
The wooden spoon and supporting ring are both recyclable and should be washed and popped in your recycling bin.
For guidance on how to dispose of your pots, we advise that you check your local councils waste and recycling rules, which you can usually find on their website.

As a product we strive to be all inclusive, creating something that is for everyone. We believe that producing natural and nutritious food is important to a balanced lifestyle.
We manage the stock at Choccy Nut Pot carefully and try to keep the right amount to fulfil our orders and avoid any waste. Any pots we have left that are close to their use-by-date we donate to local sports teams.
Since our inception we have been strong supporters of charities. We have supplied free product for many charity events and have supported individual efforts & campaigns raising money for great causes.
Where do we fit?
Our pots are made using natural ingredients and we put a big focus on the use of nuts and fruit in our recipes. The WWF ‘Livewell Plates’ report (1) has identified the need for us, as humans, to increase focus on plant-based foods (or plant protein). Not only would this help us to reduce our carbon emissions, but it is widely accepted that a healthy diet, consisting of at least two thirds plant-based foods, is consistent with dietary recommendations and offers benefits for both our health and the planet (2).
Key Nutrition
Saturated fats: The recommended daily amount of saturated fat in adults aged 19-64 is 31 and 24grams in males and females (3), respectively. All our pots are low in saturated fat, making us a good alternative to other snack options. The benefits of cutting down on saturated fat is that it can lower your blood cholesterol and reduce your risk of heart disease (2).
Protein: Protein is an important part of our diet and key to building and maintaining all types of body tissue, including muscle (4). Government guidelines recommend a daily intake of 45 and 55.5 grams in men and women aged 19-64 (3). The protein content of our Choccy Nut Pot original contributes to around 30-37% of the recommended daily amount.
Our additional Whey Protein is also batch tested by our supplier.
